These Executive Minds (TEXEM) is delighted to present the annual Acknowledgment of Distinguished Service to Society awards in recognition of African and non-African leaders who have demonstrated an outstanding commitment to their communities and who have made a significant contribution to the betterment of all.
These distinguished people have demonstrated a shared commitment with These Executive Minds by providing their organisations with the methodology, strategy, values, and skills to drive better decision-making and meet the challenges of the modern-day thriving organisation. They have led by their selfless acts of individual social responsibility that have done much to enhance the lives of others who are less fortunate. We celebrate their success at making a significant difference in the lives of so many people on the African continent. Their leadership has enhanced not only their organisations, but also has generated a positive influence on their cultures, their country, and societies in Africa.In selecting these outstanding men and women, the award panel looked at several key criteria:
- How their commitment and skills have generated a positive impact on the lives of others through enhanced prosperity, poverty reduction, and societal well-being.
- How their actions have demonstrated the highest levels of individual, corporate and public social responsibility.
- How their level of leadership achievement has enhanced public and private sector administrative effectiveness in Africa.
- How their role as an Executive has positively influenced not only the peoples in their country, but has inspired others throughout the world.
The selection of the Distinguished Service Award winners was overseen by a carefully chosen independent and anonymous award panel that consisted of eminent personages selected based on their demonstrated renown in their field. We are profoundly grateful to the members of the panel for their selfless dedication in making the TEXEM Acknowledgment of Distinguished Service awards so meaningful.
The list of potential recipients was long, and the process of selecting the leader in each category has been difficult due to the many fine candidates. Africa should indeed feel fortunate in having so many people with such deep commitments to responsible societal change emerging into the public and private corporate scene.
